BFBC2 will possibly dethrone it for a bit, but MW2 won't take a backseat until Reach hits. And I see Reach holding on to that top spot for quite some time.
And Bungie really does a good job of getting rid of glitches. They learned their lesson with Halo 2. Halo 3 didn't have any glitches that I can remember (some hiding spots that had to be fixed, but no glitches). They also aren't arrogant enough to think they don't need a public beta to sort out any glaring issues, unlike IW. ...
The Brutes look like they will be getting some more armor variants in Reach. Look to be coming along very well.
And BlackiceJoe, I thought I saw on Bungie.net that someone saw what looked like an Engineer in a screenshot. I couldn't make it out though.
The guy is a known Halo hater. He doesn't like the series and will do anything to downplay it. Even if it makes him look stupid; kind of like this article.
That guy at CinemaBlend has had it out for Halo forever. He dislikes the games and absolutely nothing will impress him. And of course he uses old screens in his comparison. If I had remembered this site from before, I never would have clicked.
Reach looks awesome. The fact that people still downplay it is amazing.
And these are the kind of articles that make people hate Halo and its fans. I will be picking up both games and have no reservations in doing so. So many great games coming this year. Reach looks far more impressive than most thought it would and GOWIII is looking absolutely amazing as well.
Haha sounds like me. I have never bought a collectors edition or done a midnight launch thing. I may do both for this game. Vidoc has me hyped beyond belief. May 3rd can't come soon enough.
4 million MORE than Halo 3. Not just 4 million.
Frankie doesn't work for Bungie anymore. He heads up 343 Industries within MS. They run the Halo franchise. Article description fail.
Vidoc tonight or tomorrow morning. Hopefully some gameplay in that.
It was an obvious fake anyway. We'll get something out of X10 tomorrow. We at least know we're getting a Vidoc. What that Vidoc will be about; no one but Bungie knows I guess.
Unlike a lot of people, I have thoroughly enjoyed MW2 and it's multiplayer but if they start doing this I'll never buy another one. They're really pushing it with that idea.
Well can't wait to see what's shown about Reach. I'm sure there will be plenty of other good stuff too. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
Who was it that posted that on Gaming Age? Sketch, Urk, or Luke I imagine. It would be helpful in validating the info.
If it's true, then that's awesome.
EDIT: After thinking about it, I believe Sketch (Brian Jarrard from Bungie) uses that name at times so it could be him.
Eh I don't really agree with the article. I played MAG quite a bit when they had the open beta (or whatever they were calling it) right before release and while I had some fun, I never got into it. The controls were annoying, and not because it didn't control like every other game. They just didn't feel right. The sound was also weak. I felt like I was shooting a pellet gun when I was sniping. Graphics were average, but that's excusable.
Just the way I feel. I'm sure some people ...
Tech is new, a lot of the code is old code. Hence the term gutted being used. I've seen you comment quite a bit. You're good at being wrong.
Adding new tech onto a stable base for an engine is what Bungie is doing. During a console generation, the base code isn't going to change. A game can look light years different when you do this. Your example of Uncharted is a good one.
Pretty sure the "completely new engine" thing came from rampant speculation on the internet. What most of you don't understand is that a gutted engine is quicker and also nearly as good as a brand new engine. As someone pointed out, the engine for CoD has only been modified through the course of time. A lot of games do this. Having a brand new engine from the ground up is hard to do. They don't come out with completely brand new anything very often. Most things are built off of what...
Haha I was coming here to see if this had been posted yet and sure enough here it is. If any place on the internet needs to read this, it's N4G. This place would be great for discussion if 90% weren't rabid in their defense of their console of choice.
Great article too.

That link explains why they're on Reach and a little about how some were chosen. Just because the book said nothing about SIII's being on Reach doesn't mean it didn't happen. The books cover a very small portion of what happened in that battle. It leaves Bungie a lot of wriggle room when it comes to fiction.
The book would also make a terrible game. A ...
Oh...CinemaBlend again capitalizing on their hate for Halo to get hits. Big surprise there.
